The FAO Food Price Index of the month of April 2022 reached the 158.4 points, which meant an decline of -0.81% in relation to previous mensual index of March, that was 159.7 points (-1.3 pts), and was placed a 10.27% above the annual average of 143.65 points recorded (+14.75 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 159.7 points was 0.82% higgher than the selected month (+1.3 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 131.8, that is 20.18% lower than the 158.4 points of April 2022 (-26.6 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in April 2022 there was a year-on-year increase of 29.73%, 36.3 points above the 122.1 pts reached in the same month of 2021.
