The FAO Food Price Index of the month of April 2021 reached the 122.1 points, which meant a increase of 2.43% in relation to previous mensual index of March, that was 119.2 points (+2.9 pts), and was placed a -2.89% under the annual average of 125.73 points recorded (-3.63 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 135.3 points was 10.81% higgher than the selected month (+13.2 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 113.5, that is 7.58% lower than the 122.1 points of April 2021 (-8.6 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in April 2021 there was a year-on-year increase of 32%, 29.6 points above the 92.5 pts reached in the same month of 2020.
