The FAO Sugar Price Index of the month of April 2011 reached the 150.7 points, which meant a decline of -7.2% in relation to previous mensual index of March, that was 162.4 points (-11.7 pts), and was placed a -6.34% under the annual average of 160.9 points recorded (-10.2 pts).
The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 183.2 points was 21.57% higgher than the selected month (+32.5 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 136.2, that is 10.65% lower than the 150.7 points of April 2011 (-14.5 pts).
In relation to the values of the previous year, in April 2011 there was a year-on-year increase of 48.04%, 48.9 points above the 101.8 pts reached in the same month of 2010.
