The FAO Sugar Price Index of the month of February 2019 reached the 80.3 points, which meant an increase of 1.26% in relation to previous mensual index of January, that was 79.3 points (+1 pts), and was placed a 2.15% above the annual average of 78.61 points recorded (+1.69 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 83 points was 3.36% higgher than the selected month (+2.7 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 73.5, that is 9.25% lower than the 80.3 points of February 2019 (-6.8 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in February 2019 there was a year-on-year decline of -4.29%, 3.6 points under the 83.9 pts reached in the same month of 2018.
