The FAO Sugar Price Index of the month of February 2020 reached the 91.4 points, which meant an increase of 4.46% in relation to previous mensual index of January, that was 87.5 points (+3.9 pts), and was placed a 14.96% above the annual average of 79.51 points recorded (+11.89 pts).

The record of this month was the highest value achieved throughout the year, with a difference of 44.62% above the lowest monthly value , that was 63.2 points (-28.2 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in February 2020 there was a year-on-year increase of 13.82%, 11.1 points above the 80.3 pts reached in the same month of 2019.
