The FAO Sugar Price Index of the month of February 2013 reached the 113 points, which meant an decline of -3.25% in relation to previous mensual index of January, that was 116.8 points (-3.8 pts), and was placed a 3.24% above the annual average of 109.46 points recorded (+3.54 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 116.8 points was 3.36% higgher than the selected month (+3.8 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 102.4, that is 10.35% lower than the 113 points of February 2013 (-10.6 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in February 2013 there was a year-on-year decline of -24.31%, 36.3 points under the 149.3 pts reached in the same month of 2012.
