The FAO Sugar Price Index of the month of February 2014 reached the 102.6 points, which meant a increase of 6.1% in relation to previous mensual index of January, that was 96.7 points (+5.9 pts), and was placed a -2.47% under the annual average of 105.2 points recorded (-2.6 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 113.1 points was 10.23% higgher than the selected month (+10.5 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 94.8, that is 8.23% lower than the 102.6 points of February 2014 (-7.8 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in February 2014 there was a year-on-year decline of -9.2%, 10.4 points under the 113 pts reached in the same month of 2013.
