The FAO Food Price Index of the month of July 2017 reached the 100.2 points, which meant an increase of 2.24% in relation to previous mensual index of June, that was 98 points (+2.2 pts), and was placed a 2.24% above the annual average of 98.01 points recorded (+2.19 pts).
The record of this month was the highest value achieved throughout the year, with a difference of 5.36% above the lowest monthly value , that was 95.1 points (-5.1 pts).
In relation to the values of the previous year, in July 2017 there was a year-on-year increase of 7.74%, 7.2 points above the 93 pts reached in the same month of 2016.
