The FAO Food Price Index of the month of July 2018 reached the 95.1 points, which meant a decline of -1.96% in relation to previous mensual index of June, that was 97 points (-1.9 pts), and was placed a -0.85% under the annual average of 95.92 points recorded (-0.82 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 99 points was 4.1% higgher than the selected month (+3.9 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 92.2, that is 3.15% lower than the 95.1 points of July 2018 (-2.9 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in July 2018 there was a year-on-year decline of -5.09%, 5.1 points under the 100.2 pts reached in the same month of 2017.
