The FAO Food Price Index of the month of April 2023 reached the 127.7 points, which meant an increase of 0.55% in relation to previous mensual index of March, that was 127 points (+0.7 pts), and was placed a 2.57% above the annual average of 124.5 points recorded (+3.2 pts).
The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 130.2 points was 1.96% higgher than the selected month (+2.5 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 120.4, that is 6.06% lower than the 127.7 points of April 2023 (-7.3 pts).
In relation to the values of the previous year, in April 2023 there was a year-on-year decline of -19.38%, 30.7 points under the 158.4 pts reached in the same month of 2022.
