The FAO Food Price Index of the month of March 2023 reached the 127 points, which meant an decline of -2.16% in relation to previous mensual index of February, that was 129.8 points (-2.8 pts), and was placed a 2.01% above the annual average of 124.5 points recorded (+2.5 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 130.2 points was 2.52% higgher than the selected month (+3.2 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 120.4, that is 5.48% lower than the 127 points of March 2023 (-6.6 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in March 2023 there was a year-on-year decline of -20.48%, 32.7 points under the 159.7 pts reached in the same month of 2022.
