The FAO Sugar Price Index of the month of July 2011 reached the 174.6 points, which meant an increase of 11.92% in relation to previous mensual index of June, that was 156 points (+18.6 pts), and was placed a 8.51% above the annual average of 160.9 points recorded (+13.7 pts).
The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 183.2 points was 4.93% higgher than the selected month (+8.6 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 136.2, that is 28.19% lower than the 174.6 points of July 2011 (-38.4 pts).
In relation to the values of the previous year, in July 2011 there was a year-on-year increase of 61.82%, 66.7 points above the 107.9 pts reached in the same month of 2010.
