The FAO Sugar Price Index of the month of February 2010 reached the 157.4 points, which meant an decline of -3.91% in relation to previous mensual index of January, that was 163.8 points (-6.4 pts), and was placed a 19.48% above the annual average of 131.73 points recorded (+25.67 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 173.8 points was 10.42% higgher than the selected month (+16.4 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 94.1, that is 67.27% lower than the 157.4 points of February 2010 (-63.3 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in February 2010 there was a year-on-year increase of 92.19%, 75.5 points above the 81.9 pts reached in the same month of 2009.
