The FAO Vegetable Oil Price Index of the month of March 2022 reached the 251.8 points, which meant an increase of 24.84% in relation to previous mensual index of February, that was 201.7 points (+50.1 pts), and was placed a 34.1% above the annual average of 187.77 points recorded (+64.03 pts).

The record of this month was the highest value achieved throughout the year, with a difference of 74.14% above the lowest monthly value , that was 144.6 points (-107.2 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in March 2022 there was a year-on-year increase of 58.07%, 92.5 points above the 159.3 pts reached in the same month of 2021.
