The FAO Vegetable Oil Price Index of the month of February 2022 reached the 201.7 points, which meant an increase of 8.5% in relation to previous mensual index of January, that was 185.9 points (+15.8 pts), and was placed a 7.42% above the annual average of 187.77 points recorded (+13.93 pts).
The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 251.8 points was 24.84% higgher than the selected month (+50.1 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 144.6, that is 39.49% lower than the 201.7 points of February 2022 (-57.1 pts).
In relation to the values of the previous year, in February 2022 there was a year-on-year increase of 36.78%, 54.24 points above the 147.46 pts reached in the same month of 2021.
