The FAO Vegetable Oil Price Index of the month of October 2021 reached the 184.8 points, which meant an increase of 9.61% in relation to previous mensual index of September, that was 168.6 points (+16.2 pts), and was placed a 12.1% above the annual average of 164.86 points recorded (+19.94 pts).

The record of this month was the highest value achieved throughout the year, with a difference of 33.07% above the lowest monthly value , that was 138.87 points (-45.93 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in October 2021 there was a year-on-year increase of 73.6%, 78.35 points above the 106.45 pts reached in the same month of 2020.
