The FAO Vegetable Oil Price Index of the month of October 2007 reached the 125.85 points, which meant an increase of 6.43% in relation to previous mensual index of September, that was 118.25 points (+7.6 pts), and was placed a 17.27% above the annual average of 107.32 points recorded (+18.53 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 138.56 points was 10.1% higgher than the selected month (+12.71 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 82.27, that is 52.97% lower than the 125.85 points of October 2007 (-43.58 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in October 2007 there was a year-on-year increase of 73.11%, 53.15 points above the 72.7 pts reached in the same month of 2006.
