The FAO Food Price Index of the month of December 2014 reached the 105.1 points, which meant a decline of -2.87% in relation to previous mensual index of November, that was 108.2 points (-3.1 pts), and was placed a -8.63% under the annual average of 115.03 points recorded (-9.93 pts).

This is the lowest record reached in the entire year, presenting a difference of +17 points (16.18%) with respect to the highest monthly value of 2014, which was 122.1 points.

In relation to the values of the previous year, in December 2014 there was a year-on-year decline of -11.08%, 13.1 points under the 118.2 pts reached in the same month of 2013.
