The FAO Food Price Index of the month of January 2022 reached the 135.6 points, which meant a increase of 1.42% in relation to previous mensual index of December UNDEF(of) 2021, that was 133.7 points (+1.9 pts), and was placed a -5.6% under the annual average of 143.65 points recorded (-8.05 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 159.7 points was 17.77% higgher than the selected month (+24.1 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 131.8, that is 2.88% lower than the 135.6 points of January 2022 (-3.8 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in January 2022 there was a year-on-year increase of 19.47%, 22.1 points above the 113.5 pts reached in the same month of 2021.
