The FAO Food Price Index of the month of June 2016 reached the 93.8 points, which meant an increase of 3.53% in relation to previous mensual index of May, that was 90.6 points (+3.2 pts), and was placed a 2.04% above the annual average of 91.93 points recorded (+1.88 pts).
The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 96.1 points was 2.45% higgher than the selected month (+2.3 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 84.9, that is 10.48% lower than the 93.8 points of June 2016 (-8.9 pts).
In relation to the values of the previous year, in June 2016 there was a year-on-year decline of -0.74%, 0.7 points under the 94.5 pts reached in the same month of 2015.
