The FAO Food Price Index of the month of February 2020 reached the 99.4 points, which meant an decline of -3.02% in relation to previous mensual index of January, that was 102.5 points (-3.1 pts), and was placed a 1.3% above the annual average of 98.13 points recorded (+1.28 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 108.6 points was 9.26% higgher than the selected month (+9.2 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 91.1, that is 9.11% lower than the 99.4 points of February 2020 (-8.3 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in February 2020 there was a year-on-year increase of 5.74%, 5.4 points above the 94 pts reached in the same month of 2019.
