The FAO Food Price Index of the month of February 2019 reached the 94 points, which meant a increase of 0.75% in relation to previous mensual index of January, that was 93.3 points (+0.7 pts), and was placed a -1.16% under the annual average of 95.1 points recorded (-1.1 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 101 points was 7.45% higgher than the selected month (+7 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 93.2, that is 0.86% lower than the 94 points of February 2019 (-0.8 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in February 2019 there was a year-on-year decline of -3.98%, 3.9 points under the 97.9 pts reached in the same month of 2018.
