The FAO Food Price Index of the month of November 2006 reached the 77.5 points, which meant an increase of 3.47% in relation to previous mensual index of October, that was 74.9 points (+2.6 pts), and was placed a 6.8% above the annual average of 72.57 points recorded (+4.93 pts).
The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 78.6 points was 1.42% higgher than the selected month (+1.1 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 69.4, that is 11.67% lower than the 77.5 points of November 2006 (-8.1 pts).
In relation to the values of the previous year, in November 2006 there was a year-on-year increase of 12.65%, 8.7 points above the 68.8 pts reached in the same month of 2005.
