The FAO Food Price Index of the month of October 2020 reached the 101.4 points, which meant an increase of 3.47% in relation to previous mensual index of September, that was 98 points (+3.4 pts), and was placed a 3.34% above the annual average of 98.13 points recorded (+3.28 pts).
The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 108.6 points was 7.1% higgher than the selected month (+7.2 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 91.1, that is 11.31% lower than the 101.4 points of October 2020 (-10.3 pts).
In relation to the values of the previous year, in October 2020 there was a year-on-year increase of 6.51%, 6.2 points above the 95.2 pts reached in the same month of 2019.
