The FAO Meat Price Index of the month of August 2010 reached the 92.6 points, which meant an increase of 0.87% in relation to previous mensual index of July, that was 91.8 points (+0.8 pts), and was placed a 1.75% above the annual average of 91.01 points recorded (+1.59 pts).
The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 97.4 points was 5.18% higgher than the selected month (+4.8 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 85, that is 8.94% lower than the 92.6 points of August 2010 (-7.6 pts).
In relation to the values of the previous year, in August 2010 there was a year-on-year increase of 8.56%, 7.3 points above the 85.3 pts reached in the same month of 2009.
