The FAO Cereal Price Index of the month of January 2021 reached the 125 points, which meant a increase of 7.39% in relation to previous mensual index of December UNDEF(of) 2020, that was 116.4 points (+8.6 pts), and was placed a -4.68% under the annual average of 131.14 points recorded (-6.14 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 141.4 points was 13.12% higgher than the selected month (+16.4 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 123.9, that is 0.89% lower than the 125 points of January 2021 (-1.1 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in January 2021 there was a year-on-year increase of 24.13%, 24.3 points above the 100.7 pts reached in the same month of 2020.
