The FAO Cereal Price Index of the month of December 2020 reached the 116.4 points, which meant an increase of 1.39% in relation to previous mensual index of November, that was 114.8 points (+1.6 pts), and was placed a 12.89% above the annual average of 103.11 points recorded (+13.29 pts).

The record of this month was the highest value achieved throughout the year, with a difference of 19.63% above the lowest monthly value , that was 97.3 points (-19.1 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in December 2020 there was a year-on-year increase of 19.51%, 19 points above the 97.4 pts reached in the same month of 2019.
