Origin Prices
The origin price of Frozen Swordfish along the week from 4 to 10 of January 2016 reached the 5.68 euros per kilogram, which meant an increase of 0.18% in relation to price of the previous week, that was 5.67€/kg (+0.01€), and was placed a 2.82% above the annual average of 5.52€/kg recorded (+0.16€).
The highest weekly value achieved throughout the year of 5.93 euros was 4.4% higgher than the selected week (+0.25€), while the lowest value during the period was 5.06, that is 12.25% lower than the 5.68€/kg of 1st week of 2016 (-0.62€).
In relation to the values of the previous year, in 1st week of 2016 there was a year-on-year increase of 1.61%, 0.09 euros above the 5.59€ reached in the same week of 2015.
Wholesale Prices
Regarding the wholesale price, this reached the 7.75 euros per kilogram, which meant an increase of 0.13% in relation to price of the previous week, that was 7.74€/kg (+0.01€), and was placed a 2.85% above the annual average of 7.54€/kg recorded (+0.21€).
The highest weekly value achieved throughout the year of 7.99 euros was 3.1% higgher than the selected week (+0.24€), while the lowest value during the period was 6.85, that is 13.14% lower than the 7.75€/kg of 1st week of 2016 (-0.9€).
In relation to the values of the previous year, in 1st week of 2016 there was a year-on-year increase of 22.05%, 1.4 euros above the 6.35€ reached in the same week of 2015.
Retail Prices
Regarding the retail price, this reached the 12.51 euros per kilogram, which meant a increase of 0.24% in relation to price of the previous week, that was 12.48€/kg (+0.03€), and was placed a -5.27% under the annual average of 13.21€/kg recorded (-0.7€).
This is the lowest record reached in the entire year, presenting a difference of +3.07€/kg (24.54%) with respect to the highest weekly value of 2016, which was 15.58 euros.
In relation to the values of the previous year, in 1st week of 2016 there was a year-on-year increase of 4.34%, 0.52 euros above the 11.99€ reached in the same week of 2015.
