The average of 2018 was 0.11€ above the previous year, which represents an interannual difference of 5.16% with respect the 2.21 euros per kilogram reached in 2017.

Price Index Origin-Retail. This is the number of times the price is multiplied from what the producer receives to what the consumer pays (origin and retail)
The averaged retail price of Clementine Tangerine throughout the year 2018 was 2.32€/kg. On the other hand, the average of the prices at origin was 0.29 euros per kilogram. That means, for each euro paid by the final consumers to acquire this product, the farmers received less than a quarter, 12.4 eurocents.
As regards Distribution, the average of the prices collected by Mercasa that year stood at 0.931 euros, so that the second link in the agri-food chain was responsible of 27.6 cents in the construction of that euro paid in the shop to buy clementines.
In last place, during the marketing phase price doubled, 59.9 cents of each euro paid by the final buyer. In percentage terms, the difference between the average annual price of clementine tangerine in origin and retail was of 704.15%.
