The FAO Sugar Price Index of the month of June 2012 reached the 126.7 points, which meant a decline of -1.4% in relation to previous mensual index of May, that was 128.5 points (-1.8 pts), and was placed a -4.97% under the annual average of 133.33 points recorded (-6.62 pts).
The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 149.3 points was 17.84% higgher than the selected month (+22.6 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 119.5, that is 6.03% lower than the 126.7 points of June 2012 (-7.2 pts).
In relation to the values of the previous year, in June 2012 there was a year-on-year decline of -18.78%, 29.3 points under the 156 pts reached in the same month of 2011.
