The FAO Vegetable Oil Price Index of the month of September 2011 reached the 147.82 points, which meant a decline of -2.42% in relation to previous mensual index of August, that was 151.48 points (-3.66 pts), and was placed a -5.53% under the annual average of 156.48 points recorded (-8.66 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 175.43 points was 18.68% higgher than the selected month (+27.61 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 137.99, that is 7.12% lower than the 147.82 points of September 2011 (-9.83 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in September 2011 there was a year-on-year increase of 18.4%, 22.97 points above the 124.85 pts reached in the same month of 2010.
