The FAO Vegetable Oil Price Index of the month of April 2010 reached the 109.36 points, which meant a decline of -0.88% in relation to previous mensual index of March, that was 110.33 points (-0.97 pts), and was placed a -10.32% under the annual average of 121.95 points recorded (-12.59 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 166.26 points was 52.03% higgher than the selected month (+56.9 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 106.03, that is 3.14% lower than the 109.36 points of April 2010 (-3.33 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in April 2010 there was a year-on-year increase of 16.59%, 15.56 points above the 93.8 pts reached in the same month of 2009.
