The FAO Vegetable Oil Price Index of the month of March 2017 reached the 101.59 points, which meant a decline of -5.91% in relation to previous mensual index of February, that was 107.97 points (-6.38 pts), and was placed a -0.31% under the annual average of 101.91 points recorded (-0.32 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 112.19 points was 10.43% higgher than the selected month (+10.6 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 96.66, that is 5.1% lower than the 101.59 points of March 2017 (-4.93 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in March 2017 there was a year-on-year increase of 4.37%, 4.25 points above the 97.34 pts reached in the same month of 2016.
