The FAO Vegetable Oil Price Index of the month of December 2019 reached the 101.5 points, which meant an increase of 8.95% in relation to previous mensual index of November, that was 93.16 points (+8.34 pts), and was placed a 21.94% above the annual average of 83.24 points recorded (+18.26 pts).
The record of this month was the highest value achieved throughout the year, with a difference of 31.04% above the lowest monthly value , that was 77.46 points (-24.04 pts).
In relation to the values of the previous year, in December 2019 there was a year-on-year increase of 32.09%, 24.66 points above the 76.84 pts reached in the same month of 2018.
