The FAO Vegetable Oil Price Index of the month of October 2010 reached the 139.18 points, which meant an increase of 11.48% in relation to previous mensual index of September, that was 124.85 points (+14.33 pts), and was placed a 14.13% above the annual average of 121.95 points recorded (+17.23 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 166.26 points was 19.46% higgher than the selected month (+27.08 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 106.03, that is 31.26% lower than the 139.18 points of October 2010 (-33.15 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in October 2010 there was a year-on-year increase of 46.24%, 44.01 points above the 95.17 pts reached in the same month of 2009.
