The FAO Cereal Price Index of the month of June 2000 reached the 51.4 points, which meant a decline of -2.65% in relation to previous mensual index of May, that was 52.8 points (-1.4 pts), and was placed right in the arithmetic mean of all the monthly values recorded throughout the year.

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 53.7 points was 4.47% higgher than the selected month (+2.3 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 48.6, that is 5.76% lower than the 51.4 points of June 2000 (-2.8 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in June 2000 there was a year-on-year decline of -4.1%, 2.2 points under the 53.6 pts reached in the same month of 1999.
