The FAO Cereal Price Index of the month of March 2022 reached the 170.1 points, which meant an increase of 17.07% in relation to previous mensual index of February, that was 145.3 points (+24.8 pts), and was placed a 9.98% above the annual average of 154.67 points recorded (+15.43 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 173.5 points was 2% higgher than the selected month (+3.4 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 140.6, that is 20.98% lower than the 170.1 points of March 2022 (-29.5 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in March 2022 there was a year-on-year increase of 37.29%, 46.2 points above the 123.9 pts reached in the same month of 2021.
