The FAO Cereal Price Index of the month of March 2017 reached the 87.9 points, which meant a decline of -2.33% in relation to previous mensual index of February, that was 90 points (-2.1 pts), and was placed a -3.39% under the annual average of 90.98 points recorded (-3.08 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 96.9 points was 10.24% higgher than the selected month (+9 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 86.9, that is 1.15% lower than the 87.9 points of March 2017 (-1 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in March 2017 there was a year-on-year increase of 1.62%, 1.4 points above the 86.5 pts reached in the same month of 2016.
