The FAO Cereal Price Index of the month of November 2009 reached the 98 points, which meant an increase of 4.48% in relation to previous mensual index of October, that was 93.8 points (+4.2 pts), and was placed a 0.84% above the annual average of 97.18 points recorded (+0.82 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 103.3 points was 5.41% higgher than the selected month (+5.3 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 89.8, that is 9.13% lower than the 98 points of November 2009 (-8.2 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in November 2009 there was a year-on-year increase of 2.08%, 2 points above the 96 pts reached in the same month of 2008.
