The FAO Meat Price Index of the month of March 2013 reached the 108 points, which meant an increase of 0.37% in relation to previous mensual index of February, that was 107.6 points (+0.4 pts), and was placed a 1.73% above the annual average of 106.17 points recorded (+1.83 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 108.7 points was 0.65% higgher than the selected month (+0.7 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 104.5, that is 3.35% lower than the 108 points of March 2013 (-3.5 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in March 2013 there was a year-on-year increase of 1.41%, 1.5 points above the 106.5 pts reached in the same month of 2012.
