The FAO Meat Price Index of the month of February 2012 reached the 105.6 points, which meant an increase of 2.42% in relation to previous mensual index of January, that was 103.1 points (+2.5 pts), and was placed a 0.6% above the annual average of 104.97 points recorded (+0.63 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 108 points was 2.27% higgher than the selected month (+2.4 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 100.4, that is 5.18% lower than the 105.6 points of February 2012 (-5.2 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in February 2012 there was a year-on-year increase of 5.28%, 5.3 points above the 100.3 pts reached in the same month of 2011.
