The FAO Meat Price Index of the month of February 2006 reached the 67.7 points, which meant a decline of -3.29% in relation to previous mensual index of January, that was 70 points (-2.3 pts), and was placed a -3.99% under the annual average of 70.52 points recorded (-2.82 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 74.8 points was 10.49% higgher than the selected month (+7.1 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 66.2, that is 2.27% lower than the 67.7 points of February 2006 (-1.5 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in February 2006 there was a year-on-year decline of -3.29%, 2.3 points under the 70 pts reached in the same month of 2005.
