The FAO Meat Price Index of the month of December 2010 reached the 97.4 points, which meant an increase of 1.35% in relation to previous mensual index of November, that was 96.1 points (+1.3 pts), and was placed a 7.02% above the annual average of 91.01 points recorded (+6.39 pts).

The record of this month was the highest value achieved throughout the year, with a difference of 14.59% above the lowest monthly value , that was 85 points (-12.4 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in December 2010 there was a year-on-year increase of 16.09%, 13.5 points above the 83.9 pts reached in the same month of 2009.
