The FAO Meat Price Index of the month of October 2016 reached the 93 points, which meant an decline of -2% in relation to previous mensual index of September, that was 94.9 points (-1.9 pts), and was placed a 2.17% above the annual average of 91.03 points recorded (+1.97 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 96.4 points was 3.66% higgher than the selected month (+3.4 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 84.2, that is 10.45% lower than the 93 points of October 2016 (-8.8 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in October 2016 there was a year-on-year increase of 0.65%, 0.6 points above the 92.4 pts reached in the same month of 2015.
