The FAO Meat Price Index of the month of October 2012 reached the 108 points, which meant an increase of 0.93% in relation to previous mensual index of September, that was 107 points (+1 pts), and was placed a 2.89% above the annual average of 104.97 points recorded (+3.03 pts).

The record of this month was the highest value achieved throughout the year, with a difference of 7.57% above the lowest monthly value , that was 100.4 points (-7.6 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in October 2012 there was a year-on-year increase of 1.69%, 1.8 points above the 106.2 pts reached in the same month of 2011.
