The FAO Meat Price Index of the month of October 2010 reached the 94 points, which meant an increase of 1.62% in relation to previous mensual index of September, that was 92.5 points (+1.5 pts), and was placed a 3.29% above the annual average of 91.01 points recorded (+2.99 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 97.4 points was 3.62% higgher than the selected month (+3.4 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 85, that is 10.59% lower than the 94 points of October 2010 (-9 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in October 2010 there was a year-on-year increase of 13.94%, 11.5 points above the 82.5 pts reached in the same month of 2009.
