The FAO Food Price Index of the month of January 1992 reached the 64.8 points, which meant an increase of 1.09% in relation to previous mensual index of December UNDEF(of) 1991, that was 64.1 points (+0.7 pts), and was placed a 1.37% above the annual average of 63.93 points recorded (+0.88 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 66.1 points was 2.01% higgher than the selected month (+1.3 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 61, that is 6.23% lower than the 64.8 points of January 1992 (-3.8 pts).
