The origin middle value of the Food Prices Index along the week from 5 to 11 of September 2016 reached the 1.982 euros, which meant a decline of -8.79% in relation to price of the previous week, that was 2.17€ (-0.19€), and was placed a -4.34% under the annual average of 2.07€ recorded (-0.09€).

The highest weekly value achieved throughout the year of 2.49 euros was 25.78% higgher than the selected week (+0.51€), while the lowest value during the period was 1.86, that is 6.73% lower than the 1.982€ of 36th week of 2016 (-0.13€).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in 36th week of 2016 there was a year-on-year increase of 8.96%, 0.16 euros above the 1.82€ reached in the same week of 2015.

Wholesale Prices

Regarding the wholesale average, this reached the 2.713 euros, which meant a decline of -1.85% in relation to price of the previous week, that was 2.76€ (-0.05€), and was placed a -2.41% under the annual average of 2.78€ recorded (-0.07€).

The highest weekly value achieved throughout the year of 3.27 euros was 20.49% higgher than the selected week (+0.56€), while the lowest value during the period was 2.56, that is 5.89% lower than the 2.713€ of 36th week of 2016 (-0.15€).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in 36th week of 2016 there was a year-on-year increase of 1.38%, 0.04 euros above the 2.68€ reached in the same week of 2015.

Retail Prices

Regarding the retail average, this reached the 5.504 euros, which meant an decline of -0.13% in relation to price of the previous week, that was 5.51€ (-0.01€), and was placed a 1.25% above the annual average of 5.44€ recorded (+0.07€).

The highest weekly value achieved throughout the year of 5.62 euros was 2.18% higgher than the selected week (+0.12€), while the lowest value during the period was 5.32, that is 3.54% lower than the 5.504€ of 36th week of 2016 (-0.19€).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in 36th week of 2016 there was a year-on-year increase of 3.85%, 0.2 euros above the 5.3€ reached in the same week of 2015.
