The origin middle value of the Food Prices Index along the week from 22 to 28 of August 2016 reached the 2.157 euros, which meant an decline of -2.27% in relation to price of the previous week, that was 2.21€ (-0.05€), and was placed a 4.1% above the annual average of 2.07€ recorded (+0.09€).
The highest weekly value achieved throughout the year of 2.49 euros was 15.58% higgher than the selected week (+0.34€), while the lowest value during the period was 1.86, that is 16.16% lower than the 2.157€ of 34th week of 2016 (-0.3€).
In relation to the values of the previous year, in 34th week of 2016 there was a year-on-year increase of 11.94%, 0.23 euros above the 1.93€ reached in the same week of 2015.
Wholesale Prices
Regarding the wholesale average, this reached the 2.787 euros, which meant an increase of 5.13% in relation to price of the previous week, that was 2.65€ (+0.14€), and was placed a 0.25% above the annual average of 2.78€ recorded (+0.01€).
The highest weekly value achieved throughout the year of 3.27 euros was 17.29% higgher than the selected week (+0.48€), while the lowest value during the period was 2.56, that is 8.78% lower than the 2.787€ of 34th week of 2016 (-0.23€).
In relation to the values of the previous year, in 34th week of 2016 there was a year-on-year increase of 6.13%, 0.16 euros above the 2.63€ reached in the same week of 2015.
Retail Prices
Regarding the retail average, this reached the 5.531 euros, which meant an increase of 0.27% in relation to price of the previous week, that was 5.52€ (+0.01€), and was placed a 1.75% above the annual average of 5.44€ recorded (+0.09€).
The highest weekly value achieved throughout the year of 5.62 euros was 1.68% higgher than the selected week (+0.09€), while the lowest value during the period was 5.32, that is 4.04% lower than the 5.531€ of 34th week of 2016 (-0.22€).
In relation to the values of the previous year, in 34th week of 2016 there was a year-on-year increase of 7.04%, 0.36 euros above the 5.17€ reached in the same week of 2015.
