The origin middle value of the Food Prices Index along the week from 11 to 17 of September 2023 reached the 2.24 euros, which meant an increase of 3.42% in relation to price of the previous week, that was 2.17€ (+0.07€), and was placed a 0.27% above the annual average of 2.23€ recorded (+0.01€).
The highest weekly value achieved throughout the year of 2.59 euros was 15.76% higgher than the selected week (+0.35€), while the lowest value during the period was 1.63, that is 37.51% lower than the 2.24€ of 37th week of 2023 (-0.61€).
In relation to the values of the previous year, in 37th week of 2023 there was a year-on-year increase of 0.81%, 0.02 euros above the 2.22€ reached in the same week of 2022.
Wholesale Prices
Regarding the wholesale average, this reached the 3.674 euros, which meant an increase of 2.2% in relation to price of the previous week, that was 3.6€ (+0.08€), and was placed a 1.86% above the annual average of 3.61€ recorded (+0.07€).
The highest weekly value achieved throughout the year of 4.06 euros was 10.62% higgher than the selected week (+0.39€), while the lowest value during the period was 3.34, that is 10.03% lower than the 3.674€ of 37th week of 2023 (-0.34€).
In relation to the values of the previous year, in 37th week of 2023 there was a year-on-year increase of 13.22%, 0.43 euros above the 3.25€ reached in the same week of 2022.
